ACU: Come On Legal Defense Fund

This commentary will be for those members of SEBA who need to know the Legal Defense Fund of Peace Officers Research Association of California are still dragging their feet on helping members out. At least around here.

Seems they cannot handle a members problem with any speed or efficiency without the member raising hell to get his or her problem handled.

Seems a former member of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department discovered on his own, that an attorney assigned to him recently, quit or was fired from his law firm. In fact the lawyer had left at least 2 months earlier and only when the member inquired upon his own, did he discover the problem. Continue reading

iePolitics: SEBA Attorney William Hadden

The information in this commentary is for the benefit of those presently employed members of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.  READ carefully and THINK!!

I hope not only the general members of SEBA read this and take heed, but the station representatives who are concerned with William Abernathie and Michael Eagleson not being forthright in the fiduciary duties towards  SEBA members.

Members need to know that these same issues are going on with current members and their cases as we speak. If these issues are not brought forth, members will continue to suffer for the benefit of a few. Just like we are seeing every where else.

On February 5, 2010 I filed a 14 page complaint against SEBA attorney William J.Hadden of Silver,Hadden & Silver.

The complaint was filed with Peace Officers Research Association of California/Legal Defense Fund. The complaint was addressed to the Board of Trustees.

The Board of Trustees heard the case in San Diego, Ca on April 24, 2010. On May 18,2010 I received a letter from Edward Fishman the Legal Administrator for LDF.  I was informed by Mr.Fishman, that the Board has taken the appropriate administrative action against Mr. Hadden as a result of my complaint.
