As Beaufort pointed out below I may have opened the proverbial Pandora’s Box and that was on purpose.  In politics, it seems like the worst of worse are those that claim God is on their side.  And this year, the Conservative Right seems to be invoking God more than normal.

Those who know me well know that I have some pretty strong religious beliefs although I’m not much better than most in practicing them.  I have found it especially tough when I’m going through periods of extreme depression.  But then I’m not running for office or in a leadership position, not that that is an excuse.
