Fred Karger: Californian’s Against Hate

Editor’s Note:  This is a mailing list I ended up on I suspect due to the post I wrote about Chris Lancaster.  For the record, in addition to ET, Al Vogler, and Barb Stanton, Assembly District 59 candidates Chris Lancaster, Ken Hunter and Tim Donnelly all participated in one aspect or another of the very bigoted campaign against Anthony Riley and/or Corey Calaycay.  I’ve got the emails to prove it in case they try to deny it.  Anyway, I really don’t hate Mormons.  I have always had a lot of respect for them.  But I had a huge issue with both Chris Lancaster, who is a Mormon, and Tim Donnelly, who I don’t believe is Mormon, preaching God and then participating in such hateful work.

Statement by Fred Karger, founder of Californians Against Hate, re Guilty Finding by the California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Against the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church) Case #08-735

SACRAMENTO, CA – Today the FPPC, in an unprecedented ruling against the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, found the Salt Lake City based Church guilty on 13 counts of late campaign reporting.  The Mormon Church was fined $5538 in an agreement worked out ending the 19 month long investigation.  The Church was the primary backer of California’s Proposition 8, which ended gay marriage in California two years ago.   The Mormon Church initially admitted to spending only $2078 to pass Prop 8.  When I filed my sworn complaint on November 13, 2008, they instantly attacked me. iePolitics: The Race for the 59th Assembly District (Republican)

This is the other hotly contest Assembly District race and the more controversial of the two.  Its current officeholder is Assemblyman Anthony Adams who was the target of a failed recall effort.  There are six candidates vying for our votes.

This race is also “blessed” with a well financed RINO who, unlike Don Kurth, claims to be a Christian.  And this “Christian” (or Mormon in reality) along with his campaign consultant Chris Jones (sound familiar?), has conducted the most hate-filled, ugly campaign in San Bernardino County.  That candidate is, of course, Chris Lancaster, who has stooped to sending photographers to his opponents’ homes to film their young, underaged relatives, sponsoring an incredibly hateful video, and knowingly sending out lie-filled propaganda intended to induce and inspire bigotry and hatred among voters.  Needless to say, Lancaster is undeserving of your vote.

That leaves five other candidates:  Iver Bye, Ken Hunter, Tim Donnelly, Corey Calaycay and Anthony Riley. Continue reading

Ken Hunter: ET Snell

To Whom It May Concern,

I have become aware that an individual known as E.T. Snell has been relentlessly harrasing public officals and candidates for the legislature. Mr. Snell is not, and never has been, a part of the Hunter Campaign. He is not, and never has been, authorized to speak on behalf of the Hunter campaign or act on behalf of Hunter campaign. iePolitics: An Announcement for Ken Hunter

Ken, remember this document you signed?  Kenneth Hunter Code of Fair Campaign 3-10-2010  Well Ken, I have warned you and John repeatedly.  I’m waiting to receive one more verification (I have several already) and, assuming I receive it, I will be removing all Ken Hunter information from the blog and blocking both of you from posting.  You choose to align yourself with bigoted, hateful people such as Barb Stanton, ET Snell, and Al Vogler, and that says a LOT about you and your campaign.

You criticize Anthony Adams for signing a “No New Taxes” pledge and going back on it yet you signed a “Fair Campaign” pledge and choose to participate in bigoted acts and associate yourself with bigoted people.  I don’t see the difference between you and Anthony Adams except I have more respect for Adams.

iePolitics: The Anthony Riley Document

As both Ken Hunter, candidate for the 59th Assembly District, and John Wurm, Ken’s campaign manager, have indicated, John has sent me a five-page document about opponent Anthony Riley.  Unfortunately, because it was sent in .pdf format, I cannot reprint it on the blog, but you can see it here:  Anthony Riley

Last week I commented that I really like Ken Hunter as a candidate but I was concerned with his connection to Barb Stanton and the unethical means she and her followers use to fight corruption.  I have long contended that using unethical means to fight the unethical makes one as unethical as those they challenge.  The document I received from the Hunter campaign is a perfect example of my point. iePolitics: The 59th Assembly Race — Which One Do I Believe?

I am friends with a few “experts” in the world of politics and campaigns.  One tells me that Anthony Riley does not stand a chance and the other tells me to now consider Riley the front runner.

I said early on that I don’t have an issue with Anthony despite his connection with the Fourth District.  Actually, other than bitchy Joy Chadwick, Mark Kirk seems to hire decent human beings for his staff.  Anthony does not seem to be an exception.  I met Anthony once at a Central Committee meeting and he seemed quiet and reserved and nice enough.  Continue reading

Ken Hunter: Candidates for 59th Assembly Speak at Republican Forum

The voters of the 59th Assembly District had their first opportunity to hear from the Republican candidates at a forum hosted by the San Gabriel Valley Lincoln Club in Glendora on March 19.  The candidates attending were Iver Bye of Apple Valley, an attorney; Corey Calaycay, mayor of Claremont; Ken Hunter, independent businessman from Lake Arrowhead; Chris Lancaster employed by San Gabriel Valley Tribune; and Anthony Riley, former staffer for San Bernardino Supervisor Gary Ovitt.  The 59th District is currently represented by Anthony Adams, who was subject of a failed recall attempt for his vote to raise taxes. Ken Hunter: Ken Hunter Campaign Registers Voters

Ken Hunter, running for the 59th Assembly District, hosted a Campaign Event on Saturday, registering new voters and adding signatures to his nomination papers.  Ken registered several new voters.  The new voters and Ken’s friends were excited to have a common sense conservative running to represent them.  Hunter is basing his campaign on stopping the overspending, overtaxing and over regulating by the professional politicians in Sacramento.  Ken’s supporters want a clean break from the “corruption connection” and career politicians who cater to special interests instead of the citizens.  Continue reading

Ken Hunter: Test For Echo

While the president of our nation tells us to stop watching political news, we the people have ignored that order. While he may prefer to rule over an uninformed electorate, he is too late. Just as Washington DC is an island surrounded by reality, so is Sacramento. The echo chambers are inside the Capitols-not outside.

Political news is on the hearts, minds and lips everywhere in town, at the post office, coffee shop; at the grocery store and at the bank…That is all you hear folks talking about.  A few years ago you would expect to hear the usual complaints about our government with few or no solutions offered. Now I hear desperate pleas to implement real solutions while our leaders would prefer for you and I to mind our own business. Now this generation has learned anew it is their government and as its rightful owners, they will be taking it back with no apologies offered. Continue reading

Ken Hunter: VoteSafe

www.KenHunter.Com

January 31, 2010

I am suspicious of the motives of the individuals or organizations that have been or now are against a reasonable Voter ID initiative, such as Senator George Runner’s proposed ballot initiative known as VoteSAFE. Nearly 100 countries in the world have some type of Voter ID policy in place including Mexico.

FlashReport: Who will Replace Anthony Adams?

This was sent to me by one of the candidates.  It makes interesting reading.  I’m also hearing rumors that Anthony Riley, former staffer for San Bernardino County Chairman of the Board and Vice President of the Hesperia School Board, is also contemplating a run.

by Mike Spence – Los Angeles County

1-19-2010 8:58 am

The surprise decision by Assemblyman Adams not to seek re-election to the 59th Assembly District has set off a scramble for the sprawling Los Angeles and San Bernardino County seat.

The 59th District contains all or parts of the Eastern Los Angeles County communities of. Los Angeles County communities of Claremont, La Verne, Glendora, San Dimas, Sierra Madre, Monrovia, Bradbury, Arcadia and La Crescenta then suddenly goes north through the Angeles Forest and East into San Bernardino to take in the San Bernardino County communities of Apple Valley, Hesperia, Lake Arrowhead, Crestline, San Bernardino, Highland and Mentone. It is a district that makes the case for redistricting reform. Continue reading

Ken Hunter: Just Kicking The Tires Won’t Do

Today a business owner can expect to spend half his money on taxes. Rush Limbaugh says he can argue with liberals with half his brain tied behind his back. Cell phones are half the size they were five years ago and beginning as early as this July, you could soon go to jail for driving your car with tires that are half a goats’ fart shy of the recommended air pressure. Yep.

The California Air Resources Board is now bringing the war against global warming home from the battlefields of science fiction to your garage. CARB’s new rule will criminalize the operation of YOUR motor vehicle traveling in THEIR State of California with sub standard tire air pressure.  Few would argue with the logic that under inflated tires can have some impact on your gas mileage. So what if you are not as retentive guy driving in the lane next to you? Driving your car running on under inflated tires is now emitting more greenhouse gasses than that guy is, that’s what. Ken Hunter: Hunter Claims Front-Runner Status

Republicans who waited until the incumbent withdrew are opportunists who did not oppose higher taxes, said John Würm, campaign manager for Ken Hunter, Republican candidate for the 59th Assembly District. Hunter has been running for the nomination since the first week of October 2009. The incumbent quit even after his recall failed because he knew that he could not beat Hunter.

Hunter said that he has steadfastly opposed not just Adams, but Adams’ high tax votes and that Californians pay more taxes overall than any other state. Hunter said that he wants to get California working again. Hunter said that it was his goal in the beginning to replace Adams and his high tax policies. He said voters are looking for leaders to reduce taxes and spending and will not vote for those seeking to just “move up the ladder.” Hunter says he will stand up against Democrats instead of surrendering as some have recently done.
