iePolitics: An email from a reader . . .

I am not sure of the authenticity of this email.  I say that because there is a certain group of individuals who keep making this claim because of their hatred for San Bernardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos.  So this very well could be from one of them under the guise of “I overheard” or this person very well could have overheard one of them.

When David Lewis took his own life, we opined that he was driven to it based on the way he was being used by local and possibly state and/or federal law enforcement.  Is that murder?  No, not in the truest sense.  But I can say that those who are hell-bent on destroying on someone can push someone to take their own life.   It is very hard to imagine allowing the actions of others to control you to that point until you have experienced it yourself.  The degree of harassment can really get so painful that all you want is for the pain to end.  Fortunately, for some of us, at some point we realize that the best way to get back is to not give in, but get even by turning it right back on them.  Are you listening Brad?  Anyway, here is the email.

iePolitics: One of those posts some of you hate

Sometimes you put walls up not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.

I came across the above quote on a friend’s Facebook page a few moments ago.  If ever there is a sentence that sums up the relationship aspect of depression, that is it.  I know I’ve destroyed more relationships than I can count for that exact reason.

You know the other person isn’t going to live up to expectations; you know you’re the one that is going to be hurt; you know you’re setting yourself up for failure; and you can’t stop yourself.  Head and shoulders above everything else that is depression, this is the most frustrating aspect.  And I think it is the part that most leads to suicide.

iePolitics: Violating civil rights

Some have told us that it does not matter how San Bernardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos goes about getting convictions against the corruption figures, as long as they are convicted.  For some reason there are those who do not have an issue with the district attorney breaking the law to gain a conviction.

As more investigation is being done and discovery trickling in at a snail’s pace, we are learning just how far Ramos will go.  No law is safe from Mikey.

iePolitics: The Lewis Death

I’ve received a number of private contacts asking that we stay on this story and we have no intention of letting it drop until the truth comes out.  And we hope that will be sooner rather than later so that David can rest in peace.

One of the odder aspects of this situation is that there seems to be a “misinformation” campaign going on regarding services and burial for David.  I can’t figure out the reason for that.

iePolitics: The David Lewis Suicide

As I said in another post, I know when I have hit a nerve and I definitely hit the sciatic with my posts on David’s death.  For another point of view, check out Jim’s story tonight at www.inlandpolitics.com.

There are several waring factions at work here, some attempting to keep this story covered up and others wanting it in the headlines for a long time to come.  I have no doubt the latter will win out.

iePolitics: Poor Little Rich Kid – Revised

When I posted the information on the death of David Lewis a week ago, I had little idea of the stir it would cause.  There were those comments from people who were truly his friends and who were heartbroken over what had happened.  I anticipated some of his friends would be upset about learning about his recent drug arrest and the other things going on in his life.  But I knew most of his close friends already knew and would not be shocked.  David had been showing signs of some serious issues for months now although I doubt anyone thought he was close to taking his own life. iePolitics: A Happy Day and a Sad Day

The happy news for me today was the seizure of Arrowhead Credit Unit (ACU).  Probably about five years ago, for the first and only time in my life, I was told by one of their call center representatives that if I used any more foul language, she would hang up on me.  It had to do with a $5,000 cash deposit I had made days earlier in the Victorville branch.  Little did I know they had placed a 10-business-day hold on the money, so I had written checks, lots of checks.   I did not discover the hold until the checks started to bounce.  When I called to find out what had happened I was told that since I normally did not keep that much money in my account, they placed a hold on it.  The little twit then proceeded to tell me I shouldn’t be writing checks if the money has not been posted and started to explain to me how to balance a checkbook.  I promised her then, they would pay for this. iePolitics: David Lewis of the Lewis Group of Companies Found Dead

David Lewis, Executive Vice President of the Lewis Group of Companies, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot on Thursday.  A suicide note was left.  Lewis, 36, leaves behind his wife and son.

The reasons for taking his own life have not been made public by the family.  However, Lewis was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance last week when he was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol on Interstate 15.  He was booked into West Valley Detention Center and bailed out that evening.

iePolitics and inlandpolitics: Different Reasons For What We Do

Jim made me laugh this morning and doesn’t even know it. I’ve come to the conclusion that having separate blogs is a good thing. Our overall mission is the same, and we share most of the same targets. But we both have our “special” people or organizations that need our “special” attention.

For me, for example, my newest target is San Manuel. Those who have known me for years know I have a special place in my heart for Native Americans. It goes back to when I was 8 years old and my family moved to Tucson from Eagle Rock.  Even at that age I realized the disparate treatment of Native Americans.  Tucson at the time was almost in a depression and the poverty on the reservations rivaled any third-world country.  Anyway, I’ve spent my share of time on reservations since and love the culture.  If I had my choice right now I would be living near the Navajo Reservation in Arizona or the Zuni Reservation in New Mexico.
