San Bernardino County Fifth District Supervisor Josie Gonzales may face her first real challenger for her seat since elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2004. Dr. Clifford Young has declared his candidacy for the seat he held prior to Gonzales.

Gonzales was one of ten candidates who ran to replace Young. She finished second in the primary and went on to top John Longville in Nov. 2004 general election.
