In remembrance of September 11, 2001

9-11

I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks of 9-11 as though it happened yesterday.  It’s hard to believe 14 years have passed.  Our world, and especially our country, has changed so much in the past 14 years.  This scripture has been on my mind all morning, so I will share it:

2 Chronicles 7:14:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

But today would not be today if I did not share this video:

  1. There was much fuss made over “interoperability” of radio systems since then. Billions of dollars spent on new radio systems, so, public safety agencies can communicate.

in the 14 years since, Riverside can’t communicate to San Bernardino on each of their new digital radio systems. Riverside can’t communicate with Orange County on their compatible radios either.

And the pursuit of the CHP shooting suspect last night, the LA Sheriff airship, running on 30% fuel, needed to stay in the persuit, because there were units in the chase that couldn’t talk to each other.
