The screenshot above is of the backend to the new iePolitics. iePolitics is using a new platform and on a new server. As you can see, the spammers have not found us yet. The new blog is not even ranking in Google yet. That will take a few more days.
To put this in perspective, the old iePolitics probably had 100,000 spam comments deleted before I shut it down. It was common to get 10,000 or more spam comments a month.
What is interesting in this photo is the other stat provided–blocked malicious login attempts. So far there have been 227 of them.
So we know it isn’t spammers trying to get into the backend of the blog, because they have not found it yet. So who is it?
Well, there are two major suspects, both with a history of hacking. Wonder if it is one of them? I don’t know. I just think it is crazy. What do you expect to find on a blog that is only three days old?
