Thanksgiving for the less fortunate

Thanksgiving meals

Growing up, my mom was a big supporter of Fred Jordan Ministries.  Although we never went and served on Thanksgiving Day itself, we went down there a lot.  It was important to her that everyone had a good, hot meal on Thanksgiving Day.

My church will feed about 1,000 on Thanksgiving.  I know there are many other churches and non-profits that do the same.

I’m putting together a list of those places in San Bernardino County where residents can either get a Thanksgiving meal, a turkey to cook at home, or volunteer to serve on Thanksgiving Day.  It will be for an Examiner article in a few days.

If your church or non-profit is offering such services for the Thanksgiving holiday, could you leave a comment on this story or shoot me an email at iePolitics2010@gmail.com with the information.  If your organization has a website with the information, I would really appreciate the link as well.
