Medical Marijuana

Dear Sharon

Just look at what you have done to Needles! Are you proud of yourself? Have you not seen Reefer Madness?

Dear Sharon

Just look at what you have done to Needles! Are you proud of yourself? Have you not seen Reefer Madness?

At Tuesday’s Needles City Council Meeting Needles City Manager Rick Daniels announced that there are twenty Medical Marijuana projects currently underway in Needles.

This announcement delineates the death of Ed Paget’s much beloved “Old Needles” and marks the actual rebirth of a failed community once based on hyper local hatred and exclusion.

That things are changing in Needles is self evident, the agenda contained a huge increase in the budget:

Regular items (16) Approve the medical marijuana budget amendment increasing General Fund revenues by $100,000 and the City Manager’s operating budget by $100,000.

Also on the agenda was item (5): Select Mr. Kevin Bacon as the best bidder in the amount of $1,000,066
For APN186-222-07 (28.2 acres located in the vicinity of Ice Plant Road and I-40) and authorize the City Manager to accept the bid as long as the appraised value is less than the bid amount, and to enter into escrow as described in the executed purchase agreement; and the applicant to begin the entitlement process as described in the purchase agreement.
Rick announced that  this site was intended for a Medical Marijuana facility.

The real estate boom in Needles has even carried over into the Needles Downtown Business Alliance.
NDBA Cadre and Needles Planning Commission Member Robert McDaniel has reportedly sold Four Seasons Nursery to a Cannabis Manufacturer!
(Manufacturer in this case indicates a Cannabis Kitchen)  A Cannabis Kitchen right in Downtown Needles, who would of ever thought……..

When will all this progress stop and all of these damned Pot Heads leave us alone?
