City of Hesperia Councilman Bill Holland today announced his candidacy for a seat on the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. Holland is challenging incumbent, First District Supervisor Robert “Bob” Lovingood, who is serving his first term.
Holland is a former San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy and Hesperia School District police officer. He was elected to the Hesperia City Council in November 2010 and re-elected in 2014. He told Examiner.com that he is running because, “There is a time to watch things happen and a time to make things happen. Now is time to make things happen.”
Holland is the first candidate to declare against Supervisor Bob Lovingood. But the list of potential others is long. Former Apple Valley Town Councilman Rick Roelle plans to announce after the first of the year.
