It is easy to tell when an elected official is getting nervous about his re-election. An otherwise invisible politician begins to take credit for everything from completion of a government building that was in the works for ten years prior to his taking office to the sun rising in the morning. Such is the case with San Bernardino First District Supervisor Robert “Bob” Lovingood.
Earlier this week, Supervisor Bob’s office sent out a press release entitled “Assembly committee OK’s Lovingood bill.” If one didn’t know better, based on that title, Robert Lovingood is a member of the California State Assembly. But he is not. He is a county supervisor, Supervisor Bob, and nothing more.
