Last week San Bernardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos released the names and mugshots of the four latest defendants convicted of solicitation of prostitution in San Bernardino County. Ramos is leading the fight against human trafficking in the region.
“Our message is simple, and one that should be very clear by now. If you are convicted of purchasing another human being for sex in this county, we are going to share your name and photo with the world,” says Ramos.
Jose Alba, age 29, is from the city of San Bernardino. He was arrested last year for one count of Penal Code Section 647(b), soliciting or agreeing or engaging in any act of prostitution. He accepted a plea bargain with the terms of serving three years of probation, paying a $645 fine, spending two days in jail with credit for time served, and completing an HIV test and AIDS education program. His plea was taken on March 7, 2015.
