iePolitics: Yucca Mesa: Neil it looks like I’m not the only one upset with you

Editor’s Note:  First Neil, they emailed me tonight and asked me to put this on the blog.  I’m not going out and purposely soliciting anti-Derry material.  Second, for all the readers, the information below is in response to the letter sent to Yucca Mesa by Supervisor Derry:  NoXXX On a side note, the last time I received a press release from the Third District I swore the next time I received such a mess I was going to print it out, circle all the errors in red, and send it back to them.  I’m very tempted to do that with this letter.  Do you not have a clue what the proper format for a letter is?

Supervisor Derry has obviously received misinformation about Yucca Mesa’s issues.

The Coalition NEVER said a Municipal Advisory Council would prevent encroachment!  While a Municipal Advisory Council is not full protection from the Town of Yucca Valley to include the Community of Yucca Mesa in their Sphere of Influence with eventual annexation, the Joshua Tree Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) has been in existence for over 15 years and their MAC was  influential in deterring Yucca Valley from attempting to annex them.  It is working for them, why not give it a try in Yucca Mesa?

iePolitics: The Yucca Mesa Municipal Advisory Committee

As I learned with the Havasu Lake Municipal Advisory Council, MACs are important to these small communities.   And the one in Yucca Mesa is mad as heck at San Bernardino County Third District Supervisor Neil Derry and wants to vote him out of office for not maintaining the MAC.  Here is their website:  www.stopyuccamesaannexation.org
