iePolitics: Well Jim, I tried to tell you so!

Jim Erwin has been a bit upset with me, so much so that he removed iePolitics from his blogroll.  He didn’t want to hear the truth but would rather believe his own propaganda.  Well Jim, I told you so.

It has been obvious for a while now that recent developments in the Colonies case did not set well with law enforcement.  They do not like their butts handed to them on a silver platter, which was done to a small degree by Judge Brian McCarville a few weeks ago.

iePolitics: Predictions for 2011

First off, it’s a little late in the day, but HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone.  Let’s start  with the easy predictions first.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center

If the Federal Bureau of Investigation has control of the investigation and is conducting it thoroughly, we have every reason to believe that Mark Uffer, Josie Gonzales, Paul Biane, Dr. Dev GnanaDev, and Jessica Brown will be indicted.  There could be numerous other elected and appointed officials involved as well but those are the names we hear were on the search warrants.

This prediction is based on my own observations while I worked at ARMC as well as talking with those that were required to provide officials with service.  My former desk partner had worked in the emergency room and was responsible for processing in many “VIPs.”

iePolitics: A mystery that needs solving

Biane Hit Piece

Well we have a mystery.   Hit pieces against Fontana Councilwoman and Second Supervisorial candidate Janice Rutherford started showing up in mailboxes last week.  One mail piece asked Rancho Cucamonga residents if they wanted “Fontana’s problems”—a piece clearly meant to  spark an elitist attitude by Rancho Cucamonga voters. A second mailer linked Rutherford with Upland Mayor John Pomierski. The mailer pictured above was received today.

The Political Action Committee (PAC) identified on the mailers is ”Citizens Against Corruption Opposing Rutherford for Supervisor 2010.” In their paperwork filed with the Registrar of Voters office all that is listed is an address which belongs to Sutton Law Firm in San Francisco.

iePolitics: Biane to Declare Tonight

According to article on the Press Enterprise blogs, San Bernardino County Second District Supervisor Paul Biane will announce his intent to seek a third term tonight in Rancho Cucamonga.  Biane has picked up two opponents, Peter “Scott” Markovich and Dennis Labadie, so far with rumors of Upland mayor John “JP” Pomierski also joining the race.  Insiders tell iePolitics that another candidate is also expected to declare shortly. iePolitics: Paul Biane Has Another Opponent

Crestline resident and KCAA radio host Peter “Scott” Markovich has announced his candidacy for the position of San Bernardino County Second District Supervisor currently held by Paul Biane.  Markovich is the second opponent to announce his intentions to run. His website can be found at:  http://www.markovichforcountysupervisor.com/

iePolitics: More Shenanighans in the Fourth District but Biane Does the Right Thing

But this time there is precedent. In 1984 San Bernardino City Councilman Bob Hammock was elected to serve as Fifth District supervisor on the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. He was re-elected in 1988. He wanted to run for a third term.

During this same period Assemblyman Jerry Eaves was making a name for himself as a part of the “Gang of Five” going up against Speaker Willie Brown. Jerry made clear his intentions to leave the state assembly and challenge Hammock. Continue reading

iePolitics: Is it time to find new candidates?

It seems we are seeing more grass roots candidates this election cycle and the filing deadline is still weeks away.  Political experts say these candidates don’t stand a chance.  Without a bankroll they may not.  But what is more important is that most of our current entrenched politicos are feeling just a bit of heat.  And some of those war chests might have to be spent on campaigning rather than wining and dining their family and friends.  That is a good thing.

Sheriff Rod Hoops now has two competitors:  Rick Averbeck and Paul Schrader.  District Attorney Mike Ramos is being challenged by at least one, Dennis Stout.  John Pomierski and Dennis H. Labadie have both thrown their hats into the ring to replace Second District Supervisor Paul Biane.  We haven’t heard if a candidate has announced his or her intent to run against Larry Walker, but there is talk that will happen.
