The San Bernardino County Annual Report of Rabies Activity Information 2015 was released last month. The report provides adoption, rescue, and euthanasia totals for each shelter in San Bernardino County.
For the third year in a row, the Rancho Cucamonga shelter comes in at the top of the list, only euthanizing 8.76 percent of the animals it takes in. The Rancho Cucamonga shelter has been working towards a goal of “no kill” for several years.
Also for the third year in a row, the city of Victorville, which contracts with the Victor Valley Animal Protective League for animal sheltering services, comes in at the bottom of the list with 59.44 percent of the animals that come into to its care being euthanized.
