Convicted dog shooter charged with horse theft and felony animal cruelty

Francis Pusok made news around the world weeks ago as a Los Angeles new station caught San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies beating him after a pursuit.  Today, the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s office charged Pusok with eleven felonies and three misdemeanors.  He faces more than 19 years in prison if convicted.

The charges stem from a pursuit on April 9 of this year.  During the pursuit while he was trying to evade San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies, Pusok is accused of stealing a horse.  He is also accused of evading an officer, resisting arrest, being under the influence of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property, vehicle theft, and reckless driving among other charges.
