Commentary: The other side to Apple Valley Animal Control’s claims

Today, an article ran in the Victor Valley Daily Press giving one side of the story about the local animal rescue community.  Unfortunately, it only tells the story the town of Apple Valley wants readers to know.

In the story, Apple Valley Animal Shelter Manager Gina Schwin-Whiteside complains, “I am tired of posts that create confusion and detract from the life-saving efforts that AVAS staff and our animal rescue partners put toward placing/rescuing animals that are currently in our shelter and need homes.”  And there is validity to her complaint.
