Sergeant Gina Perez was working patrol one evening as a watch commander. There is another sergeant at the Victorville Station that adores his pit bull. He has a picture of him and his pit bull on his desk . . . embarrassing (only to Senor Blogger). Perez’s deputies respond to a call and were attacked by a pit bull. They ended up shooting the dog because it was biting them and other subjects within the neighborhood.
Perez had to do an administrative investigation because the deputies shot the dog. It seems like she felt it would be funny to replace the sergeant’s picture on his desk of him and his dog with a picture of the dead dog.
The sergeant came in the following morning and went crazy. I guess this guy has a really bad temper and he ran out of his office and put his fist through the glass part of a large picture that was hanging on the wall. He then tells everyone what a bad temper he has and for them not to mess with him.
Well Perez went to the lieutenant and admitted that she was the one who replaced the picture because she wanted to play a joke on this other sergeant. She was told that she made another bad decision and she needed to stay away from him.
Now the sergeant with a temper . . . well I guess that Captain Reynolds and Lieutenant Herbert are afraid of him also because he is the only sergeant at the Victorville Station that they pushed for promotion. Now he is in Group 1 for lieutenant with the brass having full knowledge that he has an anger management problem. And the department wants to know why they have the problems that they have.
maker of bad decisions…what about the 21 ft rule incident of a man with a knief where she sent 2 deputies within 5 feet of the suspect an ordered them to shoot them with a Tazer disreguarding the 21 foot rule.
Picklesuit I am aware of this incident and I could write what happened. I just figured that another nail in her coffin would not mean to much. But the incident you are referring to is another reason why she should go back to the jail and never be let out.
Well that was a dumb decision for her to make, EQUALLY dumb for those two knuckleheads that listened to her.But management likes the dummies who just say “yes”.

Well, my older brother taught me while I was in junior high that all the world hates a practical joker. He taught me that any joke that was not centered on an intellectual content was not worthy. I did note, however, that when others pressed him into a contest of practical joking, he won hands down.
I have noted that cops and firefighters are fond on practical jokes on each other. Guess that is why they are cops and fire fighters and my brother is an MD.
That sounds like a joke that I would have done… It sounds a little overboard to freak out over a picture like that. Not like anyone defaced the pic or anything. I’m NOT a Gina fan, but I must admit I dont see much wrongdoing on her part here. I chuckled when reading the part about the picture…
What’s up with the Gina bashing? Don’t tell me any of you have never joked around before. Where is your sense of humor? The real liability is the Sgt that lost his cool and went off on a rampage over a silly picture of a dog. What would he have done if something really serious had happened in his life? He is the one everyone should be concerned with.
But does anyone name him by name and say what a jerk he is? Of course not! Someone just has a problem with Gina and has to resort to anonymous backbiting to satisfy their egos. Quit acting like a hurt puppy and deal with it! Get on with your life and concentrate on bettering yourself instead of spending so much energy bringing someone else down!
