There was a female deputy assigned to Rancho. After getting off of probation she went to patrol for a short period of time and, when they figured out that she did not know what she was doing, but she was cute, they assigned her to be a School Resource Officer.
After a few years they noticed that she still “cute” so they thought they should get her out of a patrol station because she really does not know what she is doing and send her to the academy as a training officer. You know to be a training officer you must look good in your uniform etc.
So off she goes to train all of the new officers, not just within this county, but others. After a couple of years, she is still “cute,” good” so why don’t we promote her to a detective, even though she has never conducted an investigation. She was promoted to a detective and sent to backgrounds, where they hire new people. (Not sure but may be she was the one that overlooked Captain Reynolds son failing his polygraph).
After a short period of time they downsized backgrounds so they sent her to Central Patrol as a station detective. Well it seems that they had a homicide one evening and she was called to the scene as the on-call detective. Her lieutenant told her to write a search warrant. She began to cry and told him that she never wrote a search warrant in her life and had no idea of how to write one. But she is still “cute.”
So they had to call the detective to the scene that was working in a watch commanders position to write the warrant. A couple of weeks later her and another detective went to a follow up investigation together. The suspect became angry and started to fight with her partner. She froze and did not know what to do. But she is still “cute.”
Her partner began to lose the fight and all she could do was yell into the radio to send help but she was not sure where she was at. Thankfully all worked out well, but with no thanks to her, and the other detective got the upper hand and the guy was arrested. Remember now this is a deputy that trained new officers prior to her position, you know yelling at them for not doing the right things, assigning them to write a search warrant, and then correcting their mistakes, etc.
Okay so now what do we do with her? We are afraid to mess with her because it seems that Deputy Chief Cook comes down on a regular basis and sits at her desk and talks to her, you know showing care and concern like he does for all other employees. Oh yeah, she is still “cute.”
So they came up with the idea to put her in the patrol position as a watch commander. She cannot do investigations so how hard can the next level of supervision be for her. Maybe we should get her ready for another promotion to sergeant because she is still “cute.” Then we can really please Chief Cook.
It seems while she is in that position she comes across a PC 290 violator. Well she does the good thing and arrests him and gets the child molester off of the streets. She brings him back to the station and puts him in a lock down cell prior to interviewing him. She walks away and forgets that he is in the cell.
About eight hours later someone find him. He’s a little pissed off to say the least, not to mention that he did not have any bathroom privilages in that holding cell. Guess who filed a complaint and a law suit. So now the county taxpayers are going to pay some child molester a settlement for her wrong doings.
Mercy me now what do we do with this poor girl. Idea . . . let’s send her to a position in the jail and assign her to ASU with Detective Catalano . . . who writes policies. With all of her knowledge and experience she should know how to write policies. Policies like “You can cry when you do not know what you are doing;” “When your partner is getting his ass kicked you should yell loud into the radio and maybe a passerby will be nice enough to let you know where you are at;” “When locking a prisoner up in a holding cell with no toilet make sure you have toilet paper in the cell in case you forget him;” and “Always look good and make friends with the Chiefs and other brass on the department as they hold the key to your future.”
LMAO, but this is typical for more than just this person. Both male and female to be fair. NOTHING worse than getting into an altercation with a crook and see someone your working with standing there with their finger up their butt and wondering what to do. OR losing their mind and screaming into the radio and getting everyone else upset WHEN you never took the time to LOOK and see where your at, just in case things went bad. Pretty bad to hear a call for assistance and don’t know where to go.
I know a male Deputy who is now a Lieutenant that would NEVER be the first one on a hot call. Was SCARED to death of getting hurt or mixing it up with a bad guy. Of course when you only weigh a buck and stand 5′ it might be difficult to jump on a 6’3″ parolee with much effect.Difficult to show command presence when your a midget.
The guy would always wait down the street until the calvery arrived, then roll into the scene like Rambo. A yellow streak a foot wide down his backside.
But the administration has no problem keeping these folks around, promoting them so they can continue to cause misery and problems for others.
Many a fine TAC officer has been assigned to the academy to teach the new employees a thing or two about street survival, share their wisdom and experience to help others. But they have also placed a few there that could not do a barking dog complaint to save their souls.BUT they do look pretty in uniform though, both male and female.
Tac officers and Field Training Officers have been told to ignore such problems and sign these handicapped personnel off as being capable despite the objections of their evaluators.
Same thing with background investigators. Someone hands them a new hires file and tells the investigator to hire them “YESTERDAY”.
These problems generally only come to light when a “civil rights attorney” sues the County and get’s into the defendants background and training files and finds these flaws, or subpeona’s their Field Training Officers to the stand to be cross examined on this person qualifications. Does not happen often, but when it does, the TAXPAYER will foot the bill.
These in house experts like Richard Beemer and James Nunn who have spent their times inflating their resumes so they can be expert witnesses in THEIR world always seem to ignore CERTAIN people when it came to civil liability issues.
THE very people in charge of the system were the ones who looked the other way in the name of “politics”. It is what it is.
For the Department it is easier to tell that Deputy who had to fight that crook to “shut up” and not make a fuss about his incompetant partner, than it is to get rid of the incompetant employee. OF course it’s not the supervisor’s ass that might get killed or injured because of it either.
ACU I was just wondering was this 5 foot deputy with a yellow stripe that has been promoted to a Lt a male or a female. You refer to it being a male but I think it may be a female if I am correct. If not then there are two of them out there.
Senor a male.
Give that cutie a promotion! Isn’t that what they usually do with an incompetent but good-looking female (or male for that matter)? Probably doesn’t hurt if she’s politically connected for that matter, in any case, even more reason for her to be promoted! Hey, it’s the county way!
ACU if you are talking about a male then there are two of them out there. The other one is a female that has been promoted to LT and worked at Rancho.
If I’m not mistaken, the coward in question is GG. A male coward with a serious Napoleon complex.
How about SS?
The female is db was ds. And yes Beaufort it helps when you house the former sheriff’s livestock at your residence for free.
I almost forgot about Lt. SS. Although I never knew him to be a coward, he certainly has the Napolean part down pat. Lt. GG is the guy I believe ACU refers to as a coward…..and ACU is spot on with his assessment.
The SBCO Sheriff’s Dept. not only acts/trains unprofessionally, they look unprofessional. Why do you drive sheriff units that look like Bell Taxi Cabs? Why does the fire department in Rancho Cucamonga have firetrucks painted like Southern California Gas Company repair trucks? Even your sheriff badges look like small, cheap knockoff versions of the L.A. County Sheriff’s badge/star. It must not be good for moral. Sheriff Units are black and white, and firetrucks are red. I’ve seen mall security vehicles that look more professional.
