iePolitics: $500,000 Welfare Fraud Case in High Desert

iePolitics reported last year on multiple cases being referred to the San Bernardino County District Attorney for high dollar welfare fraud committed by county employees. One case alone totaled $400,000. And like the POST case, here we are more than seven months later and no criminal charges. There are other similarities to the POST case.

As with the Sheriff’s Department, HSS Administrators have attempted to cover the cases up but employees have leaked the information.  It seems the perpetrators could be county employees of note.  When I worked at the Victorville office, I had a number of high ranking county officials’ and political figures’ children on my caseload as well as many county employees.  We do have to wonder why Ramos hasn’t made this prosecution a priority.
