By Dave Henderson
Saturday, June 5, 2010

After a great deal of research on the various candidates, I have been trying to decide who I would vote for and if I would follow a long standing tradition as a publisher and declare my endorsement of any candidates. I have never openly endorsed a candidate.

I do not believe in voting along party lines. I search to find the candidate who follows my beliefs and has the moral character and honesty that matters to me. Will the candidate sell their soul to obtain or stay in power? As with all of you, that decision is a very personal. Continue reading

iePolitics: Conservative Reagan Republican Anthony Riley Upholds Traditional Values

Hesperia, CA – Conservative Republican businessman Anthony Riley re-asserted today his strong support for traditional family values and his unwavering support for heterosexual marriage.

“I voted for Proposition 8 and I firmly believe that the definition of marriage is strictly between a man and a woman,” stated Riley. “Heterosexual marriage is a cherished societal institution.”

“In regard to taxpayer funded abortion, I do not believe that any circumstance warrants the government paying for any abortion,” said Riley.  “As it is, irresponsible people too often use abortion as a form of birth control.” Continue reading

Paul Schrader: From the Headquarters of Paul Schrader, Candidate for Sheriff-Coroner, San Bernardino County.

The Fresh Start Initiative

SHERIFF PAUL SCHRADER 2ND AMENDMENT SHERIFF

From the Headquarters of Paul Schrader, Candidate for Sheriff-Coroner, San Bernardino County.

There has been a cloud of corruption over the San Bernardino County government for the past decade. So much corruption that even elected officials who have not been involved in any scandals are viewed with suspicion by the citizens of San Bernardino County.

My goal is to give the citizens of San Bernardino County something that is desperately needed; A Fresh Start. That start begins with concerned, responsive elected officials. A Fresh Start with innovative plans and solutions to the challenges we face. Fresh, proactive leadership that will restore faith, hope, and the belief that a better future for our families and our children is not only possible, but is something we can accomplish together. No longer will the citizens of San Bernardino be barred from participating in the design of our future, your voices silenced or unheard. I pledge to you that there will be a Fresh Start in law enforcement, that you will be a part of it, your voice will be heard.

I will use my 27 years of experience in City, County, and Federal law enforcement together with your input, your thoughts, and your ideas to create a fresh, new atmosphere of cooperation between the community and law enforcement.

By joining together, you and I can make that Fresh Start a reality. Together we can develop a cooperation between the community and law enforcement that will be a model for other counties to follow.

If you believe with me that San Bernardino County deserves this kind of cooperation and leadership, vote for me, Paul Schrader for Sheriff, on June 8, 2010.

Mark Averbeck: Vote for Sheriff Mark Averbeck

Mark Averbeck’s Strategic Plan

• If I am elected Sheriff,  I will bring back the canine program immediately.

• If I am elected Sheriff,  I will build guard towers in our chow halls to protect our
Deputies in the event of a riot.

• If I am elected Sheriff,  I will work with Human Resource to change the promotional system. Grouping employees in a group of ten rather than ordinal order, appears to be inherently unfair.

• If I am elected Sheriff,  I will modify our off duty employment program so the Deputies can provide the quality of life for their families they may not be able to do now.

• If I am elected Sheriff,  Deputies who work on extraditions will be compensated.

• If I am elected Sheriff,  I will not punish felony conduct with simple demotions.

As voters we have an excellent opportunity to vote for a Sheriff who can make our communities safer, our jails safer, and offer our Deputies an opportunity to make extra income on their days off. Please ask your family, friends, and neighbors to voter for Sheriff Mark Averbeck.
