iePolitics: Cory Calaycay and Iver Bye

I spent a few hours tonight at the San Bernardino County Fair in Victorville registering Republicans.  I shared the booth with 59th Assembly candidate Iver Bye.  It was nice to have a chance to find out exactly what he stands for.  He is definitely a true conservative.  Here is his website:  www.voteiverbye.com

And then Corey Calaycay and his brother stopped by.  It was also my first chance to really speak with Corey.  When I heard him speak at High Desert Republican Women Federated a few weeks ago, I was only mildly impressed and I think that was probably because he doesn’t have the dominating personality some of the other 59th Assembly District candidates have.  But after speaking to him for a few minutes I have to admit I took a liking to him.  Both Corey and his brother were polite and professional.    After hearing all the Chris Lancaster propaganda in recent weeks that he has this election in the bag because he has the most money, it was nice to see that Corey has not given up and is mounting a strong grass roots campaign.  I wish him luck as I do all the candidates in the 59th Assembly District, except for Chris Lancaster since he has all the money in the world to spend on negative campaigning and hit pieces.   Here is Corey’s website:  www.coreycalaycay.com

ELECT PAUL SCHRADER FOR SHERIFF OF SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY

SHERIFF PAUL SCHRADER 2ND AMENDMENT SHERIFF

From the Headquarters of Paul Schrader, Candidate for Sheriff-Coroner, San Bernardino County.

There has been a cloud of corruption over the San Bernardino County government for the past decade. So much corruption that even elected officials who have not been involved in any scandals are viewed with suspicion by the citizens of San Bernardino County.

My goal is to give the citizens of San Bernardino County something that is desperately needed; A Fresh Start. That start begins with concerned, responsive elected officials. A Fresh Start with innovative plans and solutions to the challenges we face. Fresh, proactive leadership that will restore faith, hope, and the belief that a better future for our families and our children is not only possible, but is something we can accomplish together. No longer will the citizens of San Bernardino be barred from participating in the design of our future, your voices silenced or unheard. I pledge to you that there will be a Fresh Start in law enforcement, that you will be a part of it, your voice will be heard.

I will use my 27 years of experience in City, County, and Federal law enforcement together with your input, your thoughts, and your ideas to create a fresh, new atmosphere of cooperation between the community and law enforcement.

By joining together, you and I can make that Fresh Start a reality. Together we can develop a cooperation between the community and law enforcement that will be a model for other counties to follow.

If you believe with me that San Bernardino County deserves this kind of cooperation and leadership, vote for me, Paul Schrader for Sheriff, on June 8, 2010.

San Bernardino County Supervisor Paul Biane (Pictured) saw his campaign sign in a neighbors yard and called the Sheriff’s Department to “remove his property” from the yard.

Elect Sheriff Mark Averbeck

Please remember which candidate held a press conference on April 8, 2010 that was instrumental in exposing the corruption that has reached the command staff at the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department. Crimes involving theft and fraud are crimes of moral turpitude. A dishonest cop is a useless cop because their credibility is non existence. I would appreciate your vote on June 8, 2010. You can view my press conference on my web site in case you missed it at:
