iePolitics: Newsletter and Voter’s Pamphlet

The new site is up, but very rudimentary. It will take me a few days to get it going. The site will be Republican items only. All Republicans are welcome to participate. It can be found at www.sbcopolitics.com.

Basically, the site will consist of several things when completed.  It will be home to the newsletter.  It will contain a Voter’s Guide for all races, partisan and non-partisan that have Republican candidates.  It will also list links to other Republican sites and to the campaign/Twitter/Facebook sites for all Republicans running for office in our county. iePolitics: AD 59 Update: Sacramento Insiders For Chris Lancaster!

In a political climate where candidates for public office stress their independence from established Sacramento political insiders, one candidate has it all backwards.

In an election cycle where wanna-be “public servants” are running as “outsiders” destined to shake up a broken system and reform bureaucracy, Chris Lancaster is highlighting his support from Sacramento politicians.

Odd strategy for victory, sure. But it’s really no wonder why those responsible for overseeing a $20 billion budget deficit are supporting proven tax raiser Chris Lancaster. Continue reading

Munson on the Ballot: Ron Wall for Supervisor

Part of my ongoing series about the June election.

This election I encourage the voters of the 4th Supervisorial District of San Bernardino County to vote for Ron Wall for Supervisor. If you are tired of the status quo of incumbent Gary Ovitt, Ron Wall will be a refreshing choice to be your representative. Ron’s platform is very simple, bring forth ethnics reform, create an ethics commission and introduce campaign finance limits so campaigns would not be bought off by the usual developers in our county.

The residents of the fourth district need someone who is not part of the establishment in county politics so we can get someone who is not part of the system. We do need to throw the bums out so we can finally clean out San Bernardino County and make it better for the people. We need to bring forth integrity back to the Board of Supervisors so we can have a government we can be proud of. Continue reading

Munson on the Ballot: NO on Proposition 14

After reading the Inland Newspapers endorsement of Proposition 14 in the Bulletin and the Sun, I feel compelled to communicate why opposing Proposition 14 would be the best choice. Proposition 14 will do little to change the political climate in California where interests as such as diverse as the Green Party and the Republican Party are against this ballot measure.

Proposition 14 will take rights away from political parties where they will lose the right to select who would be their nominee for the November election. This measure will allow candidates to run under any ballot label or none at all which would confuse voters for political gain. If you do not like the candidates running in a particular contest you will only have a choice between choice 1 and choice 2, write-in choices will be prohibited under Proposition 14, just as well as third parties because people will feel they do not want to waste their vote because only two choices in the general election.
