iePolitics: ARMC – Time for the Board of Supervisors to Act; Dr. Gnanadev Must Go

Earlier today a lengthy comment was added to a previous story about Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.  It came from someone identifying themselves as a Physician/Surgeon and read:

ARMC could be an excellent hospital. It is a very modern facility with dedicated nurses and staff who try very hard to do the best for their patients. The problem at Arrowhead is that the physicians who provide good patient care do not last. The reason for this is simple: they expect other physicians to provide equally good care and when they complain to Dr. Gnanadev their contract is cancelled. Continue reading

Senior Blogger: BOS 2 Update: Art Bustamante – Candidate Of Los Angeles County?

Art Bustamante has surged into the lead in the race for San Bernardino County’s Board of Supervisors Second District race – on the heels of an endorsement from a Los Angeles County politician.

Yeah right.

Sorry Art. For San Bernardino County residents in Rancho Cucamonga looking for a change in representation from the scandal-tar red incumbent, it’s highly unlikely that a political baron’s endorsement who is from LA County will win you many votes. In fact, it may turn voters AGAINST you. Continue reading

ACU: SEBA a “Non-Adversarial Approach”

In the last couple years I have heard many terms used by SEBA’s staff and their attorneys.

Terms like, “I have to work with these people everyday”.  “Don’t care the Deputies lied”. “What do you care it’s not your money”.  “Not a good idea to upset Judges”. “Not a good idea to sue cops”. “Not a good idea to put management on the witness stand”. “We enjoy a good working relationship with management”. “No we can’t do that to another SEBA member because we will have to represent them later”. “It’s their department they can do whatever they want”.

And now someone says, we take a “non-adversarial approach” in dealing with the County. Continue reading

Mark Averbeck Request Mail in Your Signed Petitions Today!

Some of the people I have talked to question whether or not the Board of Supervisors has the authority to dismiss Appointed Sheriff Rod Hoops from his position. I can assure you I did my homework and yes they do have the power to dismiss him.  Some of the people I talked with thought I may have gone too far with my petition and others agree 100% with my endeavors.  I believe we should all be judged by our professional/business conduct that includes our actions and our inactions.  Just as in the penal code there are statues for crimes for commissions and omissions.

Paul Schrader’s Unauthorized Use of SB Sheriff’s Logo

Today I had the pleasure of speaking to the Editorial Staff of the Press Enterprise regarding who they will endorse for the San Bernardino County Sheriff/Coroner. It was a very interesting forum with all three candidates being present. Sheriff Hoops was very kind and professional. Paul Schrader was friendly and did a good job as well. I was pleased with the answers I gave to the panel.

We are all working hard to try and convince the voters that we are the best candidate to serve our citizens. After the event I spoke to Paul regarding his utilizing the San Bernardino County Logo on his picture. I told him once again I thought he was misleading the voters because the inference is he is already a member of the Sheriffs Department. I asked him if he made up his mind whether he was going to pull the logo or continue to use it. Paul said it is a marketing tool. Paul sees no problem with it since Sheriff Hoops uses a picture of a helicopter with the logo on his web site. Continue reading
