Ramos
In a Press Enterprise story published this past week, opponents trying to unseat San Bernardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos lashed out at the two-term incumbent and provoked a response.
Challengers Frank Guzman and Bob Conaway hammered away at Ramos for his handling of corruption investigations and his womanizing within his department.
The newspaper even made reference to local political blogs which assert that Ramos several affairs, most of which are within the office and involve his subordinates. Continue reading
iePolitics: Breaking SEBA News
iePolitics has received information that Safety Employees Benefit Association (SEBA) president William “Beef” Abernathie has negotiated a deal with the county behind the backs of SEBA members to cut the pay raise to 6 percent and postpone it for two additional years. We are awaiting clarification and will post it as soon as it is received.
iePolitics: Ken Miller for Governor
I keep meaning to post this link: KenMiller2010 He is an alternative to Meg and Steve, especially if you are looking for a true conservative. I really like his message.
Paul Schrader: Get on the ball and vote for Paul
Please post my information on your blog, website, or community page.
I am also requesting an email blast or Facebook post of support from my supporters to your friends. It is estimated that we could reach over 100,000 people by using this process. While this amount is staggering, we must take the first step. Continue reading
iePolitics: Ed Montegomery for Judge
Dear San Bernardino County Voter,
Just two issues face San Bernardino County.
1. Whether you’re happy with how things are;
2. Whether you want your vote to save lives.
Here’s how voting for Ed Montgomery will take care of both issues.
Ed Montgomery is not the candidate backed by the good-old-boys in San Bernardino.
iePolitics: Mikey Is Not Looking So Good
Well, iePolitics has now heard it from a couple of well-placed sources. San Bernardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos is looking a bit peaked. It seems he appears to have lost about 20 to 30 pounds. And remember he is a small man.
So what is it Mikey? Long nights . . . too much exercise . . . worry . . . guilt . . . waiting for the Feds to come knocking at your door . . . wondering if Jerry will use the steel handcuffs or the fur-lined variety . . . hmm . . . what could it be? . . . inquiring minds want to know.

iePolitics: Religion and Politics
As Beaufort pointed out below I may have opened the proverbial Pandora’s Box and that was on purpose. In politics, it seems like the worst of worse are those that claim God is on their side. And this year, the Conservative Right seems to be invoking God more than normal.
Those who know me well know that I have some pretty strong religious beliefs although I’m not much better than most in practicing them. I have found it especially tough when I’m going through periods of extreme depression. But then I’m not running for office or in a leadership position, not that that is an excuse. Continue reading

iePolitics: Medical Marijuana and the Conservative Republican
It’s not like I hide it. I am an ultra-conservative fiscal Reagan Republican. I am also a tree-hugging liberal. And on social issues, well, I’m all over the place. I am pro-life, anti-gay marriage, pro-gay union, pro-rehabilitation/anti-lock-em up for non-violent offenders, pro-rehab for drug offenders, pro-Second Amendment, anti-illegal immigration, anti-closed borders, anti-anchor baby, pro-reasonable immigration policy, anti-Patriot Act, anti-anything that erodes Constitutional Rights further . . ..
For some reason, my attitude towards medical marijuana confounds my fellow Republicans. I absolutely believe medical marijuana should be legal and easily available to anyone with a valid prescription. I have total contempt for what our San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has done regarding this subject and feel the same way about any other city/county that has used loopholes to ban dispensaries in contempt of the will of the people.
