iePolitics: Lewis Homes Supports Bigotry?

I am very disgusted right now with Lewis Homes and one of the candidates they heavily support.  That candidate is Acquanetta Warren.  Dirty campaigning is expected in any race.  But some things cross the line.  Acquanetta, of all people, should have a deep understanding of the concept of bigotry and know how it feels to be discriminated for something over which one has no control.  And sometimes that bigotry is based on false accusations. Yahoo!: US Sen. Bob Bennett ousted at Utah GOP convention

Bob Bennett AP – U.S. Senator Bob Bennett, R-Utah, becomes emotional while thanking his volunteers and family after being …

SALT LAKE CITY – Republican Sen. Bob Bennett was thrown out of office Saturday by delegates at the Utah GOP convention in a stunning defeat for a once-popular three-term incumbent who fell victim to a growing conservative movement nationwide.

Bennett’s failure to make it into Utah’s GOP primary — let alone win his party’s nomination — makes him the first congressional incumbent to be ousted this year and demonstrates the challenges candidates face from the right in 2010. Continue reading

InlandPolitics: Slap at former colleague ends bad week for Biane

San Bernardino County Supervisor Paul Biane ended a not so good week taking an ironic slap at a former friend and colleague.

The week started with a new controversy surrounding a complaint from Biane’s chief of staff Matt Brown. Brown claims he’s being harassed and retaliated against for cooperating with county investigators in a probe which has targeted his boss. Brown’s complaint letter made waves for Biane most of the week.

Then yesterday comes along this beauty of a campaign piece delivered to Second District mailboxes.

Can you say awkward.

While stomping a former friend into the ground may be a viable tactical strategy, it doesn’t seem to be a great concept at this point in time. Considering one, Postmus, is currently a charged defendant and two, Biane is running from the same dark clouds. Continue reading

iePolitics: Anyone willing to lend a hand?

I heard back from the Anti-Defamation League and they explained what to do.  It will take about 60 seconds of your time and we can get the hate video produced by ET Snell and Barb and promoted by Chris Lancaster and Chris Jones removed for good.  I’m not going to post the info here, so email me at sharon@iepolitics.com and I will tell you what to do.

iePolitics: A Question For Those Of You Who Are Mormon

Over the years I have had a lot of friends who are Mormon and I have found them to rank pretty high on the ethics scale.  Then my brother married a Mormon woman who had to be the one of the worst liars I have ever encountered and my opinion dropped just a bit.

Now we have Chris Lancaster running in the 59th District.  He is running partly on a “family values” ticket and discusses religion openly.  But of all the candidates in the 59th District race he is the most bigoted and sleaziest.  And he has hired the sleaziest of the sleazy as his campaign manager. Red County: 59th AD Watch: Chris Lancaster a RINO?

By Allen Wilson | 03/25/10 | 03:14 AM EDT | 16 Comments

Republicans become very uneasy with the deeds and words of certain GOP electeds who fail to live up the basic conservative principles of the party.

The RINO term is widely known as “Republican In Name Only” meaning insufficently conservative or outside of the party mainstream.

One need to look at a candidate running for State Assembly from the 59th Assembly District:  Chris Lancaster. Continue reading

iePolitics: The More We Learn About Chris Lancaster’s Consultant, The Bigger Slime He Turns Out To Be

We have all enjoyed Chris Jones’, aka Taxfighter, comments on the blog. Chris, of course, is the campaign consultant to 63rd Assembly District candidate Don Kurth, San Bernardino County Second District Supervisor Paul Biane, and 59th District Assembly candidate Chris Lancaster.  You see a pattern?  Three sleezy candidates all hire the same sleezy campaign consultant.  But this is hardly Chris Jones’ first foray into dirty politicking.  He has a history . . . a long history.  Here is about a campaign he ran almost 12 years ago.  Fortunately for us, his candidate lost.  Let’s hope his three candidates this year lose as well.

Assembly Candidate’s Negative Mailer Misfires

Politics: Republican John Kellogg loses endorsements by Baugh, Morrissey after he sends flier linking his 68th district opponent to a convicted child molester.
May 30, 1998|PETER M. WARREN, TIMES POLITICAL WRITER

An eleventh-hour negative mailer apparently backfired Friday on John Kellogg, a GOP candidate in the 68th Assembly District race, when two Assembly members withdrew their endorsements of him saying the attack was unfair.

In trying to gain an edge in Tuesday’s primary election, Kellogg mailed fliers to central Orange County homes assailing candidate Ken Maddox for his “ties to a convicted child molester.”

Maddox quickly complained to the county GOP ethics committee, which set a hearing for 3 p.m. today. Continue reading

iePolitics: Erwin, Postmus, Burum and Me

Hey Sharon! Everyone knows your fanning the flames for ther Erwin/Burum campaign with Colonies dollars. Will be interesting when they start pulling you in as a witness/co-defendant. Watch out! Interesting how you became a slant-specialist for Erwin only after he approached you after his arrest, as well as Postmus. The reason Erwin, Burum and Postmus use you is because they see an easily manipulated, vulnerable and psychologically imbalanced person who can be their puppet. You have no idea the hole you’ve dug for yourself, lady. Funner times lie ahead for you. Watch your back! These people are very, very dangerous.

From:  iePolitics:  John Doe No. 5

It has been a while since I have addressed such a comment, and I’m bored writing about Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and the Sheriff’s Department, so I thought I would respond.  It seems some people are either dense or can’t read.

Some of you seem to have forgotten my March 19, 2009, column entitled, “Mark your calendars:  Today is the day Mike Ramos ended his political career.”  It is something I believed then and it is something I believe in even more strongly today. Continue reading

iePolitics: ARMC–Time For A Full-Time Medical Director

We are learning as one agency after another investigates San Bernardino County’s hospital, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC), that the place is falling apart.  There are several reasons for this situation but perhaps the most important is the fact that a hospital of this size needs a full-time medical director.  I believe we already have a full-time medical director, Dr. Dev Gnanadev. iePolitics: My First Tea Party – Part Two

Tuesday night I attended what is known as a “Home Tea Party” event in Highland.  It’s sort of like meshing the Tea Party concept with the Tupperware Party concept.  Instead of meeting out in public where attendees have to put up with harassment, they meet in someone’s home.  About 30 people attended this event.

I wasn’t sure what to expect at a Tea Party as mainstream media tends to characterize the participants as crazy, irrational, lunitics.  What I found was a group of people who truly love their country and want to see it returned to greatness.  These are not politicians but average people trying to get involved.  Most are political novices that are trying to learn the ropes. iePolitics: POST Scandal

I’ve received two responses so far.  The first is that Stodell is from the Yucaipa area, which fits the situation.  And the second:

The names that I have heard for sure that have been involved in the POST issue are Bill Zehms, Lt. Jerry Davis and Captain Mark Marnati. Sources say that they have confirmed Davis and Marnati but the Department denies this because of their rank and the fact that Marnati had worked in Internal Affairs. If Stodell was involved in this scam then it really dates back a long time as he retired three to four years ago. Now if they have been doing this for that period of time then Captain Gray would owe a lot more money than he paid back that’s for sure.

Please keep the tips coming.  I think we all know there is more to this scandal that what the Sheriff is admitting to publicly.

iePolitics: John Doe No. 5

Paul led the successful citizen campaign to pass Measure P and limit terms for County Supervisors—including his own.
He blew the whistle on corruption in the County Assessor’s office—resulting in the removal and arrest of the Assessor and several of his associates.

Excerpted from Paul Biane’s Facebook page.

John Doe No. 5 seems to have a selective memory problem.  Perhaps it is from all the alcohol or one too many late-night parking lot tête-à-tête, but something is skewed in Paul’s brain.  He seems to have forgotten he is a yet-to-be-charged possible defendant in San Bernardino County’s largest corruption scandal in history.  Mikey and Jerry refer to him as John Doe No. 5 or has he forgotten?

Perhaps  I’m being too harsh.  Maybe, I should give credit where credit is due.  In Biane’s quest to become the crime fighting hero of San Bernardino County, his actions did result in the arrest of several county officials, one of which may well be himself.  Now that is sacrafice for his constituents.  There, my dear voters, is a great reason to vote for Paul Biane.  He narc’d himself off. iePolitics: A Reminder Before You Cast A Vote For Auditor-Controller

Note:  I believe the total is up to at least nine employees who have made hostile work environment claims.

SB County Recorders workers calling boss hostile

By Joe Smilor on April 19, 2009 8:00 PM | Permalink | Comments (11) | ShareThis
A half-dozen employees of the San Bernardino County Recorders Office who have taken stress leave or have transferred out of the office in the past year have alleged their boss created a hostile work environment.

Four of the employees — deputy recorders Wendy Everett, John Pinckney and Dennis Tormey and staff analyst Sean Crees — have retained a workers compensation attorney to argue their case Continue reading
