iePolitics has received a few tips regarding the case of Deputy Richard Heverly. He is the deputy who while off-duty pulled a gun on a tow truck driver in Riverside County. A Riverside County jury recently deadlocked and the judge declared a mistrial last month on whether Heverly was guilty of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, assault by a public officer, making criminal threats and false imprisonment. iePolitics: A Bad Week for Mr. Brown
Boy, was this a dreadful week for Mr. Brown.
He began the week in a position of power, and had all the perks that accompanied such a lofty post. He was at the top of his game.
By mid-week however, Brown was turned away from his office against his will, and he was forced to turn to legal experts and political allies in a desperate attempt to hang to his job. There appears to be furious political maneuvering to resolve a sudden dispute.
Indeed, Brown may be out. Continue reading
iePolitics: Dr. Gnanadev–Time To Resign Or Be Fired!–Revised
Well another “I told you so” for iePolitics.com and inlandpolitics.com. We’ve been called liars and such over accusations about patient care, billing, and malpractice at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC). Now we learn that ARMC’s Medi-Cal and Medicare contracts are in jeopardy.
Both hospital director, Patrick Petre, and San Bernardino County Fifth District Supervisor, Josie Gonzales, attempt to downplay the significance of the actions taken by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services; however, a loss of these contracts would be substantial. The hospital is required to provide care whether it gets paid for the services it provides or not and that includes care to Medicare and Medicaid patients. Continue reading
iePolitics: More POST Rumors
I have a dozen or more Sheriff’s Office corruption anonymous emails to follow up on and will do so as soon as I can. Honest. I promise. I appreciate all the tips.
But one arrived this morning that will take this scandal to a whole new level. It suggests that former Deputy Chief Mike Stodell was involved in the scandal. Anyone have additional information?
iePolitics: Shame on the Sun and Redlands Daily Facts
When I attended last night’s Tea Party Meet and Greet, I was not particularly surprised to see Don Kurth there with his campaign manager, Jessica Austin. I wasn’t even too surprised to see Jessica’s best friend and room mate there, Chantal Lovell.
I met Chantal a couple of years ago when I volunteered a little time at Assemblyman Paul Cook’s campaign headquarters. She is a very nice girl. Continue reading

Mark Averbeck Request: Mail in Your Signed Petitions Today!
Some of the people I have talked to question whether or not the Board of Supervisors has the authority to dismiss Appointed Sheriff Rod Hoops from his position. I can assure you I did my homework and yes they do have the power to dismiss him. Some of the people I talked with thought I may have gone too far with my petition and others agree 100% with my endeavors. I believe we should all be judged by our professional/business conduct that includes our actions and our inactions. Just as in the penal code there are statues for crimes for commissions and omissions. Continue reading
iePolitics: Don Kurth–Not Impressed
I always have to check out Jessica’s spin as it seems to differ greatly from what others think of the same event. As I was looking at 63rd Assembly District candidate Don Kurth’s Facebook page, I found this:
Don Kurth did you know I authored and passed a resolution here in the City of Rancho banning medical marijuana dispensaries? We must do the same for the State of California and protect our kids and our communities.
So, he openly admits he thwarts the will of the people. How many other areas will he put forth his own agenda rather than uphold the will of the people . . . new taxes, bigger government, amnesty for illegals? I’d like to know how he picks and chooses which laws to uphold and which ones to disobey.
iePolitics: Mill Creek Meet and Greet
I had a chance to stop by the candidate meet and greet and Mill Creek Cattle Company in Mentone. It was my first time there although the drive-in in Redlands is my favorite bar-b-que. I will try to write about this event and Tuesday’s event in more detail tomorrow, but for now I will just say it was nice to see it so well attended by candidates and voters alike.
I finally got to meet both Paul Schrader and Mark Averbeck in person. It was also nice seeing Mike Morrell and Paul Chabot who are both running for the 63rd. Don Kurth was also there but well guarded by Jessica Austin and I decided this was probably not the best place for Jessica and I to have any type of discussion. Acquanetta and Pat both had tables there but were not present themselves. I didn’t see anything for Henry. Continue reading
