iePolitics: Josie! Josie! Josie!

How do you know San Bernardino County Fifth District Supervisor is saying something stupid?  Her lips are moving.

San Bernardino Sun reporter Mike Cruz today reports the following:

Gonzales said she has always been willing to cooperate and anticipates the board will approve thee waiver Tuesday.

“They better. They better hurry up,” Gonzales said. “When the (state attorney general) knocks, you better be answering that door. Quick!

“We need to act expeditiously. The people need to see us working in their best interest, while at the same time being . . . cognizant of any pitfalls or shortcomings that can arise as a result of us moving hastefully.”

This is one of those moments where her words speak for themselves but the impact on the reader is not likely anything close to what she intended.    Besides the obvious grammatical error, the Board’s obligation is to the citizens of San Bernardino County, not to an attorney general’s office more interested in politics than justice.  Making a decision that impacts a $102 million of the people’s money should not be made QUICKLY.  It can wait until all the ramifications of waiving attorney-client privilege are considered and the Board is assured that an affirmative decision will not impact the county’s standing or ability to collect in the remaining lawsuits.

Some months ago, Josie had a well respected San Bernardino County department head in her office.  She told him, “You are stupid.”  Hopefully, no one just choked on his or her sandwich.

  1. LMAO!!!! I am sorry but when I read those words in the Sun, I said oh my god. Her comments never stop.

NOTHING this woman has done since I started keeping track of her actions suggest she ever took this course of action, a quick response to anything but a potty break.

Where was here spokeshole Bob Page?

When is this person up for re-election?

  2. Do you realize that as vice-chair she will be next in line to be the chairperson of the board?

  3. When Biane and Ovitt get indicted, she automatically “assumes control”.

  4. How do you go from “you want green or red sauce”, to ” I second the motion?” Only in Fontucky!

  5. Just because the AG wants something doesn’t mean they are legally entitled to it. Let them take the county to court and see what a judge thinks.

    Lord help us.

  6. Sharon Remember she just put on the union feaskle at the board on the Ivan Paw project. She stacked it with Unions who spoke in her favor and many union supporters waived personally to her when leaving and upon arrival. She is the closest thing that you have to Union support on the board so for the sake of your Union you should not bite the hand that feeds your union. Pease get some professional help and a real life.
