iePolitics: A Tip About the Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Children’s Services

iePolitics has been contacted by several employees regarding an apparent change in policy regarding the questioning of children who claim they are being abused by their parents.  The information provided is disturbing at best.

Because I consider this to be a sensitive subject, I sent a public information request today to Sheriff Hoops, Deana Avey-Motikeit, and David Wert, asking for the basis for the change in policy and a copy of the written policy.  So far no response but I will give them until sometime tomorrow.

In the meantime, if anyone can shed some light on the issue, feel free to post here or send it to me at sharon@iepolitics.com.

  1. I do hope that you get to the bottom of this one as it will make for some very interesting reading.

  2. The policy that you are referring to is the result of a 9th Circuit Court of Appeal Decision. Now Obama has appointed an even more liberal judge to the most liberal court in the country.
