iePolitics: A Tip About the Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Children’s Services

iePolitics has been contacted by several employees regarding an apparent change in policy regarding the questioning of children who claim they are being abused by their parents.  The information provided is disturbing at best.

Because I consider this to be a sensitive subject, I sent a public information request today to Sheriff Hoops, Deana Avey-Motikeit, and David Wert, asking for the basis for the change in policy and a copy of the written policy.  So far no response but I will give them until sometime tomorrow. iePolitics: From a Fan!

Below is an email I received today.  I love this stuff!  You guys out on the Rez can send the FBI all you want.  Boy do I have some sources with some stories to tell that they will be interested in.

What is funny is through the corruption scandal I have learned just how hard it is to get the FBI interested in anything.  So, I won’t be holding my breath waiting for them to come aknockin’ at my door any time soon!

iePolitics: New Sheriff’s Policy?

It has come down from a couple sources that Sheriff’s Management has let it be known, that Sheriff’s personnel arrested for DUI would be on their own. What exactly does this mean?

If the Sheriff’s Department never covered these incidents up in the first place, there would have been no need to make such a statement to the Station Commanders.

Is Sheriff’s management now indicating in their own way alcohol abuse might be a problem within the Department as Sheriff Lee Baca did with his department a few months ago? Is the Sheriff’s Department taking to much heat in their long standing practice of covering up for DUI drivers? Continue reading

InlandPolitics: S.B County managers unknowingly subjected to job interviews

Things are definitely looking up on the San Bernardino County government front.

New County Administrative Officer Greg Devereaux is rapidly getting a clear picture of county finances and routing out discrepancies. Something everyone is glad to see happen.

Another positive sign coming out of the Government Center is Devereaux apparently scheduled and held meetings with various county administrators, department heads, and managers. Continue reading

InlandPolitics: Will this affidavit sink Don Kurth’s Assembly campaign?

Rancho Cucamonga Mayor Don Kurth is a candidate running for the Republican Party nomination for the 63rd Assembly District. District incumbent Bill Emmerson is leaving due to term limits.

Kurth has spoken about his colorful past in overcoming an addiction to drugs and narcotics, as well as homelessness and a custodial jail sentence.

As he has moved on from his problems he encountered years ago, one incident stands out that the media may seek to address as the campaign moves forward.

Don Kurth, running as a “conservative Republican” refuses to deny a documented report accusing him of domestic violence against a romantic partner. The startling accusation was made in a sworn affidavit read to the Rancho Cucamonga City Council by the alleged victim’s 15-year-old daughter. Continue reading

iePolitics: From Havasu Lake

Dear Sharon:

As for impact on local events, nowhere has iepolitics been so effective as at Havasu lake Ca.

There is a very simple reason for this effectiveness, that being the absolute News Blackout that our small town suffers from facilitates all manner of excess, abuse and corruption. A little SUNLIGHT goes a long way to disinfect such a small town!(sunlight at Havasu?…..who would of thought?) Continue reading

iePolitics: We told you so!!!

Seems that the county can no longer afford subsidizing families while taking away health insurance from employees.  We hear that the county has proposed returning to flexible benefits dollars in lieu of the medical premium subsidy, which was Mark Uffer’s and Bob “Chicken Man” Blough’s brilliant plan to conquer and divide the membership so they would have more control.  Continue reading
