So our illustrious San Bernardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos is concerned about expenses paid by former Assessor Bill Postmus out of Postmus’ campaign war chest—not exactly new news. And also not new news is the fact that what is good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander—pun totally intended—here in San Bernardino County.
Well an examiniation of Ramos’ 460 for the period ending December 31, 2009 shows he paid $12,652.03 in charge card bills and stated that no single charge was $100 or more. That means from July 1—December 31, 2009, Ramos had at least 127 credit card transactions paid for by his committee. Hmm . . . how many salmon and wine dinners or boxes of condoms are we talking about here?

Can’t the FPPC audit him? During those six months he used the credit card two out of three days @ $100.00 a pop during a non campaign year. That is an impossibility. He has to have been using campaign funds for personal use. Add that to the tens of thousands he paid his wife and it looks like they are really milking the process. Who is the real crook here anyway?
He drinks a lot. I wonder if those are bar tabs?
Mike never used condoms. He preferred au-natural.
Cheryl, I come to this site for inside information, but that lends new definition to “inside information”!
OH Cheryl that WAS funny, and thanks for confirming that part of the expediture issue.
I am sure the two sock puppets Hackleman and Mikey will again explain away the circumstances of Ramos’s expenditures.
Isn’t it funny as hell only Erwin and Postmus have violated the law that rises to the level of criminal prosecution, and everyone else were just minor administrative issues that the FPPC could handle.
Always a slight twist for everyone else.
Penrod just made little oversights in a period of 10 years, and everytime he amended those forms he NEVER committed perjury according to our DA’s office interpretation?
Anyway we can audit Ramos’s County credit cards and expenses? I bet his gas card a lone has some interesting expenditures?
When is the FBI going to investigate Ramos’ PIU, SBSC, County Counsel and Recorder? Collusion………..collusion………….collusion…………., shame on you.
Whatever else may be true as to DA Ramos and his charges against former Supervisor and Tax Assessor Postmus–the facts are that a more brazen scheme was found in the earlier part of this decade involving offshore bank accounts linked to the City or County of San Bernadino through the bank of New York. Boot-up discs that were found in the trash dumpsters, with the names of several public employees on them, connected those employees to the accounts . An Adelanto newspaper was the only reportage that I have seen on the subject–although it was extensive as any of the L.A.Times or The Wall Street Journal (when they were better newspapers). That was in about 2002. If A.G. Brown or D.A. Ramos want or need to investigate something else or more, there is more to investigate, although it might not reach 102 million dollars.
