iePolitics: You know Adam, that is so true!

Adam,

This comment was just posted to the blog:

Adam:

You could still save yourself if you actually told the truth to someone with a FEDERAL badge. If, as Sharon says, you were coerced and threatened, it would be Ramos and Moonbeam who would be facing RICO charges.

I hear from mutual friends that you are starting to get scared, and scared you should be.  I know I could pass a polygraph if I had to over what I’ve reported as you having said to me and I also know I’m not the only one you’ve said it to.

As angry as I am for what your lies have done to people I know and care about, I have always felt sorry for you, but mostly for your parents.  You have put your family through hell.

Only you know the truth as to what was said and done when you met with investigators.  If what you told me is true, you would save yourself and a lot of other people a LOT of grief if you would come forward and tell federal investigators what you know.

No one is perfect in this whole fiasco and many have made mistakes.  Likely, even a few minor crimes have been committed. What Mike Ramos and Moonbeam have done is far worse than any minor crime.  They are the real criminals in this whole episode.  As I’ve said many times on this blog, Mike is more dangerous to this community than any criminal he has ever prosecuted.  If you have the evidence to prove it, you’d be a hero to many.  We only ask that whatever you do, you tell the TRUTH, whatever that may be.  You’ll find it is far less stressful than calling your friends and begging them to lie and back you up.

Adam, if the investigators and prosecutors have told you that you will not have to testify, they are lying to you.  Each of the defendants will subpoena you and they have the right to do so.  They also have the right to attempt to impeach you.  If you haven’t been straight with investigators, you need to let your attorney know and deal with it.  Again, only you know the truth as to what happened when you met with them and that truth is what needs to be told.

  1. I wonder if his numerous interviews were tape recorded. The way the interviews were conducted would speak volumes about this. Have the defense attorneys received any tapes?

  2. Adam, if and when the FEDS come a knocking at your door, tell the truth,

If this case is taken over, your truthfulness may in the end give you a better deal then the DA.

And yes, you will be a witness, more then likely have to take the stand, and be cross-examined by the defendants, as that is their right. The only person who cannot be compelled to take the stand is the defendent.

You are still young enough to take your lumps, finish your education, and compete in the job market.

If by chance, you are convicted of any felonies, keep your nose clean for the specified years, and apply to have your conviction lowered to misdemeanors.

Telling the truth, in the end will be the best thing you do.

  3. I forgot, that you can apply for a pardon, I believe for state convictions, you can request this either from the Governor, or you can request a presidental pardon.

    Just food for thought.
