iePolitics: Biane to Declare Tonight

According to article on the Press Enterprise blogs, San Bernardino County Second District Supervisor Paul Biane will announce his intent to seek a third term tonight in Rancho Cucamonga.  Biane has picked up two opponents, Peter “Scott” Markovich and Dennis Labadie, so far with rumors of Upland mayor John “JP” Pomierski also joining the race.  Insiders tell iePolitics that another candidate is also expected to declare shortly.

Last week a rumor circulated that Senator Robert Dutton would declare but he has flat-out denied those rumors and has thrown his support to Biane.  Considering the current cloud over Biane’s head in relationship to accusations of criminal wrongdoing against him by San Bernardino County District Atttorney Mike Ramos, it will be interesting to see just how much of a threat his opponents will be.  Biane is said to be quick “cocky” about his re-election chances, claiming he is not worried at all.

  1. I don’t think we need JP to put his hat in the ring. We already had JP’s Dad running Vehicle Services (now called Fleet Management), and he ran that place to the into the ground.

When they had 9/80 in his department, he looked up one friday morning (two years later), and asked why are all the shop doors shut, the staff told him they were off for the day, its their 9/80 day.

He replied who authorized that, I will fire them, they told him he did. Needless to say, 9/80 in his department was canned next year.

Further, talk about hours, he would show up after 9 am, and go home before 4 pm.

The only thing that I can think of, that he can take credit for, the Natural Gas Stations that the county installed, and I believe that was mandated by the state.

I seem to recall that “JP” Senior was also the mayor of Downland.

The county does not need “All in the Family” types. “Archie Bunker” and “Meathead” days are gone.

We need new blood, not old.

  2. “Denial” is a great description for the mental state of Paul Biane. Gee, what a crime fighter! If he was a true crime fighter he would have already resigned and turned himself in. I too think that his announcing for re-election if merely cover for his guilt.

It is quite possible that enough fury will be built up to recall him, should run and win, or not go to jail. Does Paul Biane have no shame?
Biane completely disregarded the advice of county counsel and gave away millions of dollars of taxpayer monies to his campaign contributors. Shameless.

Maybe Biane will be the next singing canary. If Biane truly cared about the people that elected him he would come clean. Looks like he’s going to meet Bubba soon

  3. Paul is too cocky for his own good. He’s a drunk and it will catch up with him this time around.
