Inland Empire, CA – February 16th, 2010 – 63rd assembly candidate, LT Commander (s) Paul Chabot, announces the endorsement of Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley, and Los Angeles County Probation Chief, Robert Taylor.

District Attorney Cooley stated, “I would like to extend my enthusiastic endorsement of your candidacy for California’s 63rd Assembly District. This endorsement is based upon your lifelong record of public service. I’m impressed with your personal values and your life experiences, especially your Iraq military service and your fourteen years in law enforcement. Further, I appreciate your fight against the abuse of narcotics. I’m honored to endorse you for election.”

Probation Chief Taylor stated, “In government today we should be concerned about selecting the best and brightest to serve. This is precisely the reason that I am supporting Paul Chabot for the 63rd Assembly District. Today, more than ever, we need to restore the people’s confidence in government. There is no one who can do a better job of that than Paul.”

“I am honored to receive continued strong law enforcement support and I am fortunate to have worked with public safety leaders from around the district and the state in a number of law enforcement capacities fighting to protect our communities from gangs and drugs”, said Chabot.

In addition to Paul’s local law enforcement experience, he is a member of the California Gang Investigators Association, the California Narcotic Officers Association, and the West End Gang and Drug Task Force. Paul also served as a Governor appointee as a Commissioner on the State Parole Board. His dissertation focused on dismantling sophisticated terror organizations and while serving in Iraq he wrote a strategy on how to defeat al Qaeda.

Chabot has also earned the endorsements of the California Narcotic Officers Association, California Police Chiefs Association, Riverside Police Officers Association, among others.

  1. Is this the same Chief Taylor that is having problems with the LA County Supervisors who are replacing him because of some issues??

Mr. Chabot are you looking for those with titles to endorse you or with character?

  2. Chabot is a threat to Kurth and the developer control county politics. The problem is that he lacks funds and name recognition. I like him and I think he would make a great assemblyman. Good Luck Paul.

  3. “Dr.” Chabot is a joke. Him and his 30 + plus jobs and titles. One day he single-handledly shook out Al Queda, the next day he is a “White House Senior Advisor”, the next day a Sheriff, Cop, Drug Czar. Notice no endorsements from people in our district who matter.

The guy has no shot in hell, not now- not ever. Could be a nice guy but obviously has no idea what he is doing so perhaps isn’t qualified… maybe he should go back to Iraq, or the Sheriff’s Department, or the White House… or…

And hey, “I like Chabot”- obviously you could be his Campaign consultant because you don’t know what you’re talking about. Many developers are behind Acquanetta. Get your facts straight.
