iePolitics: Blackmail in TAD?

This rumor has been floating around for a while, but I finally talked to someone who has some first-hand knowledge of the claims. I have often questioned why a San Bernardino County Transitional Assistance Department (TAD) Employment Services Manager, who was investigated, demoted and transferred for racial discrimination, sexual harassment, hostile work environment and utter incompetence, would face a second demotion and transfer for new charges a couple years later.  Any other employee would be fired the second time around if not the first.

Well, the answer according to him, is that he has “dirt” on TAD Deputy Director Michael De la Rosa.  Michael, of course, would have been involved in the second demotion.  As a matter of fact, when said manager attempted to promote, the Equal Employment Opportunity complaint magically disappeared.  And the Human Resources Officer “forgot” to do a background investigation.  Amazing how that sort of thing happens.

We know Michael has had some issues.  The embezzlement from the San Bernardino Public Employees Assocation is the most well known.  I’d be interested in knowing what the other “dirt” is.  Bet that is one Human Resources investigation that never gets done.

  1. My experience tells me the opposite. My guess woul be that Michael has “dirt” on those directly above him as well as perhaps someone affiliated with the BOS & HR. Just a thought.

  2. maybe your “first hand” rumors are simply that. Rumors. Embezzlement is a criminal conviction. Why havent you posted the criminal info from the courts like you so happily did for some others? because it doesn’t exist. Not exactly a Michael fan myself, but really, its time to let that one go, unless you want to get sued for lies or charactor defaming and since you say you are broke, you should probably avoid that, but then what would you write about when you get bored of sitting at home alone and want to blame someone else for your troubles?

  3. TAD generally puts incompetent people in responsible posiitions which is why the TAD organization has the reputation they do.
