Paul Chabot, Lieutenant Commander (S) Candidate For 63rd Assembly District Announces Endorsement of San Bernardino County Undersheriff Richard Beember (Ret.)
(INLAND EMPIRE, CA) – San Bernardino County Undersheriff Beemer retires, immediately endorses LT Commander (s) Paul Chabot and co-hosts upcoming fundraiser event.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Undersheriff Beemer and I look forward to his guidance throughout this campaign and beyond.” Beemer is a outstanding American who protected us here at home, but also oversees during his combat service where he received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. His participation in our Rancho Cucamonga fundraiser later this month will be a wonderful opportunity for area residents to meet a law enforcement legend and military hero,” said Chabot.
Richard Beemer had served as the Sheriff’s second-in-command since 2005 and been with the department since 1973. After 37 years he retired as the Undersheriff on January 29, 2010.
He has served four terms as the President of the Sheriff’s Employees’ Benefit Association and is a former trustee with the Peace Officers Research Association of California’s Legal Defense Fund.
Beemer is a Vietnam veteran having served in the Army as an infantry sergeant where he earned the Purple Heart and Bronze Star medals. During his diverse career in law enforcement, he served at various times as the Commander of the Fontana Sheriff’s Station, Professional Standards Division, Employee Resources Division and the Sheriff’s Bureau of Administration.
“Paul has earned my trust. He will protect our communities from the spread of gang violence committed by illegal immigrants and local gang members alike. He has my endorsement to be our next Assembly member,” said Beemer.
The immediate past Undersheriff, Robert Peppler, has also endorsed LCDR(s) Chabot, along with a number of other sheriff rank and file members.
LCDR(s) Chabot is a leading candidate for the 63rd assembly district seat currently occupied by Assemblyman Bill Emmerson who will step down due to term limits. He lives in Rancho Cucamonga with his wife Brenda and their three children.
Well I am glad someone thinks so highly of Richard Beemer and is impressed with his resume of 37 years.
I don’t think I heard of anyone shedding any tears when Beemer announced his retirement either.
Notice Beemer did not mention the spread of corruption among politicians either. Beemer who has 2 seconds on the streets, still believes gang bangers account for all the crime in America.
I am sure Beemer doesn’t think there is any corruption within the County.
Best thing I can say about Beemer is he is another Uffer with a slightly different style, but a solid enabler of corruption.
YOUR a crook Beemer, it is that simple.
The only reason this many former Sheriff’s Department brass is supporting Chabot is there must be something in it for them.
Yes LCDR Chabot, Richard Beemer is awesome, he got one vote from a BOS member when he applied for the Sheriff’s position in Orange County.
Sorry LCDR Chabot, your comments about Beemer would make most of the real cops in the Sheriff’s Department puke.
Mr.Chabot it appears you are pretty phony yourself with all the smack you talk, especially about this guy.
You sound like a disgruntled employee who has never gotten his facts straight. Beemer worked the streets plenty, including Central Station, and several years as a Watch Commander when Fontana really was “Felony Flats.” I have worked around him for several years and have yet to encounter any one member on the Department, of which I am a proud member, to be more thoughtful, compassionate, and intelligent than he.
I imagine if you put as much energy into your spite as your career, you might have gone a bit further. Best of luck in your future endeavors.
Thank you for your insight factchecker, my comments about Beemer are based on personal encounters and how he dealt with factual information about wrongdoing, which was to cover it up when it involved higher ranking personnel or political cronies.
Double standards and other issues were PERSONAL observations, not hearsay or speculation.
And for those of you who love to use the term disgruntled employee as an answer to these types of postings I suggest you might want to find out what created the disgruntled conduct before simply throwing it out there like it is the best answer to the statement.
You must be a manager as they throw that term around like a football in the park.
Maybe Beemer did spend more than 2 seconds on patrol, it was so long ago he must have been on horseback and was carrying a single action revolver when he did, BECAUSE he sure forgot about where he came from once he got into Internal Affairs.WHERE he spent most of his career.
You need a reality check about what Beemer actually did at the behest of his bosses before he became the boss.
Now come back here and tell me there is no corruption within the Sheriff’s Department either and I will know your an idiot and a manager.
Good luck to you when you drink your next glass of kool-aid.
Oh I had a very interesting career, enjoyed working with many good people. My disgruntled attitude comes from being harrassed when I did not want to look the other way and cover up crime and corruption for the benefit of some one else’s agenda.
So if that makes me a bad guy and disgruntled, GUILTY as charged.
Richard Beemer would and did sell his sorry soul for a promotion… a real backstabber,
I’m surprised he didn’t make sheriff before he retired
A meaningless endorsement for a hollow candidate.
