Nothing ever changes in the San Bernardino County Transitional Assistance Department (Welfare or TAD). I’ve been bombarded with questions as to why the TAD01 Deputy Director’s girlfriend (or perhaps now former) has been demoted from District Manager to Eligibility Worker III. All the conspiracy theorist in the department are hard at work as apparently this type of demotion is unheard of. So if someone has the scoop, inquiring minds at TAD want to know.
Could it be that it something to do with an office in Fontana?
On behalf of ontario and rancho staff i want to say that our new dd is a joke and a total hypocrite, for several months all this lady does is walk around yapping to staff like she is our friend then complains we dont do enough work maybe if she came from out from behind closed doors with the resource sup and stopped wasting time taking hour and half extended lunches with her then she would see how hard we work. When the door is not shut they think they are slick by talking in spanish, do they forget most of the rest of us do too. Just so you know staff from all of the offices talk and we all see and hear the same things. kudos to nancy for hiring a dd, who can’t follow the rules of the dept, but expects us to follow them, really was there nobody else.
A bunch of us complained that a relative of the resource sup. was going to be working in the rancho office and that she would be evaluated and mentored by the resource staff, correct if I am wrong but isn’t that a conflict of interest. Oh well I guess it doesn’t matter because we have the same situations in our ontario offices and according to our dd this ok, whatever i guess it pays to go lunch with the boss, I guess policies don’t apply when you kiss butt. the ontario staff is super irritated and fed up with our so called boss and i am sure rancho cant be too happy either. just thought I would put this out there

Yep, looks like Lucy to me.
Forget what I said in the previous post. I just researched Lucy’s current salary:

and she’s not going anywhere. Sorry.
Yippee . . . “disappointed 10″ had the courage to say what many have known for years. While staff are working through breaks and many hours “off the clock,” this individual turns a blind eye to what is really, really going on. Of course, when one is promoted into a program she knows nothing about (and minimizes learning unless forced), it is easy for her to take an “ignorance is bliss” stance and time to network for that next big promotion. There is an upside to her absence from the trenches – one is spared her screeching (spoken and written), superficial interactions with staff, and making judgmental (hurtful) comments about customers. Be brave “disappointed 10″, but also be very, very careful. She and her buddy, MDLR (if you are ESP), will throw you under the bus if you speak the truth no matter your work ethic (perfect attendance, great WPE history, team player, and customer service oozes from your pores – way before Uffer’s Service First b.s.), you, too, could be “thrown under the bus” by uneducated, old-style management, and ignorant incompetents in charge. BTW – Customer service begins from within and at the top!
