iePolitics: A Note About Comments

As I stated in a previous post, the blog is no longer moderated.  However, if you post a comment with certain words or one or more links, it will be set for moderation.  Right now I’m lucky to moderate the blog once a day so be patient.

There is light at the end of the tunnel.  A very snotty SCE employee called me today from a message I left over two weeks ago to inform me that after nine weeks of trying, I just might have power by the end of the week.  She got a little indignant when I asked for an exact date so that I can have the dogs put away and leave the fence unlocked.

  1. At work today I was trying to keep a straight face while telling a story about one of those ‘they come – they go’ top of the food chain people. The story I told was that Muffer filed for Workman’s Compensation due to a shoulder injury he received from giving all those Service First presentations to thousands of county employees. What most people I’ve talked to remember is a man with a massive ego strutting around talking about his favorite subject – himself. One quick witted person figured out the punch line before hearing the end of the story. Muffer injured his shoulder while twisting his arm around to pat himself on the back. My attempt at keeping a straight face was partially successful as two of my co-workers asked me if he really did file for Workman’s Compensation.
