iePolitics: Thank You

I’ve started it off slowly, but tomorrow I plan to really get back into blogging.  I want to thank everyone again for all the email.  One thing I know about our regular readers is that you are a loyal lot.  We are already back up to 20,000 hits a day with virtually no content, it being a weekend, and a majority of folks not even knowing the blog is back.

If someone tells you they cannot access the blog, it is likely because they are using an old bookmark.  We are using a new host and a new domain so bookmarks have to be updated.

Thanks again for your support.

  1. Sharon,

If you don’t mind me asking, but where are all the past stories and comments?

  2. When I shut down the old blog I offered them to Jim but he didn’t want them. I wasn’t going to spend the money keeping them stored on my Yahoo! account so they were deleted. However, as legal cases progress I expect to see some of them re-appear as we know there are copies of every post ever in the hallowed file cabinets of Human Resources and County Counsel.

  3. Yes, I too have experienced first hand at an HR hearing seeing print-outs of posts I made months earlier. The print-outs had print dates within a few days of when they were posted. Yes, months before HR could have reasonably believed they would be needed at a hearing copies of my posts were printed. If you are singled out for a HR meeting you should expect a Joe McCarthy style of attack. In a real court of law a defense attorney would have objected to almost everything said by the HR person and the judge would have sustained the objections. For example hearsay is allowed at HR hearings. I was required to sign a gag type form that I only vaguely remember part of what was written. I asked the SBPEA representative at least three times for a copy, but never received one.

  4. Sharon,
I enjoy your blog but would like to also read Jim’s blog but I can not find it. Can you put up links in your home page to other blogs or let me know where to find it? thanks.
